52. a job worth doing.

being a nurse...

is very stressful.
it's one of the hardest job ever.
is a job that most of the time takes away the time you spend with family, the time you need for self, and sometimes, kills your social life mercilessly. ugh.
is a job where you encounter all sorts of people, from the poorest to the rich, from the most polite to the rudest, from the easy going to the most demanding.
is a job where you are overworked yet underpaid.
is a job where you experience every emotion there is.

but...

it teaches you to have faith and hope when everything seems hopeless.
it takes you from being human to humane.
it lets you see all the little miracles of life.
it teaches you to appreciate life and time more.
it teaches you that a did, no matter how big or small greatly impacts somebody's life.
it is a job where a sincere "thank you" from the patient brightens up your day and makes everything worthwhile.

i love my job.
i love being a nurse.
i couldn't picture myself doing anything else other than this.

this is one of the things that makes me happy.
